Be aware that doing so risks buying a Sewer Pass that is later linked to cheating and reset.

Don’t Dash into a Pile of Dookey

Hey Dookey Dashers, our team has caught some people cheating in the sewer — their scores have been removed from the leaderboard. Anybody who had their score removed as a result of cheating can still play to log a legitimate score for their Sewer Pass until the leaderboard is locked at 3 PM PST / 6 PM EST on February 8th.

Once the leaderboard is locked, we will be validating Sewer Passes. Those caught cheating in the validation process will NOT be able to play Dookey Dash again to log a valid score. We will look for you, we will find you, and we will nail you.

That goes for delegated passes too. If you delegated a pass, it’s YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to ensure your delegated Sewer Pass was used legitimately. If you have any concerns, get your pass back and dash on your own to log a new score.

The Basics

What is Dookey Dash? Who can play?

Dookey Dash is a skill-based mint playable like an endless runner — a category of game where you attempt to go as far as possible as the game progresses in difficulty. Your mission: get in the sewer to dodge and break through obstacles as you pick up items called fragments.

As long as you have a Sewer Pass, you can play Dookey Dash at https://mdvmm.xyz from January 19, 2023 to February 8, 2023.

What is a Sewer Pass? 

A Sewer Pass is an NFT that acts as your ticket to play Dookey Dash. 

Ok, I’m in. How do I get a Sewer Pass?

Sewer Passes can be claimed only by BAYC and MAYC holders. If you don't have a BAYC or MAYC NFT, you can't claim a Sewer Pass, but you can get/buy one from a Sewer Pass holder.

Ok, so I get a Sewer Pass. I play Dookey Dash. Then what?

After you play Dookey Dash, you’ll need to hold onto your Sewer Pass until March 8, 2023. Then, if you’ve played and have a score of greater than 0, your Sewer Pass will be eligible to transform into something new. More to come on that soon.

When can I claim a Sewer Pass?

BAYC and MAYC holders can claim a Sewer Pass from January 18, 2023 until February 8, 2023.

Does it matter when I claim my Sewer Pass?

No, it does not matter and won’t affect what kind of Sewer Pass you’ll receive. There is no rush to claim, so you’re good as long as you do so between January 18, 2023 and February 8, 2023!

How much does a Sewer Pass cost to claim?

Sewer Passes are free for BAYC and MAYC holders to claim but you are responsible for gas fees.

So I can’t play if I don’t have a BAYC or MAYC?

You can play if you get/buy a Sewer Pass from a holder — that’s all you need.

How many times can a Sewer Pass holder play?

Sewer Pass holders have unlimited runs while the experience is live.

How can I see how I’m doing compared to other players?

You can see how you stack up against others by checking the leaderboard in game.

How do I score points?

Your score is determined by a number of factors, including how long you survive your run, types of fragments you pick up along the way, and the obstacles you destroy. Check back here on January 18, 2023 for a detailed breakdown.

How is scoring tracked for Sewer Passes?

The game score will be linked to the wallet that participated in Dookey Dash. If a Sewer Pass is moved to a wallet that did not participate in Dookey Dash with that exact Sewer Pass, then that new Sewer Pass and wallet combination will reflect a score of 0.

When are scores final?

On February 8, 2023, scores will be frozen and the skill-based mint will end. From February 8, 2023 until February 15, 2023, you will still be able to transfer and/or trade your Sewer Passes. On March 8, 2023, your Sewer Pass will be eligible to transform.  

A Sewer Pass traded after scores are frozen but before February 15, 2023 will only be eligible to transform by the current pass holder according to the score that was frozen. In other words, if you trade your Sewer Pass after the scores are frozen, the new holder will be the one with an eligible Sewer Pass for transformation and not the original holder. During this period, just transferring and/or trading Sewer Passes will not reset a score to 0.

Between February 8, 2023 and February 10, 2023, if any monkey business is discovered with any Sewer Pass or Dookey Dash gameplay, those Sewer Passes will be considered invalid and will NOT be eligible to transform. 

Can I cheat? I’d really like to.

Nah. Anti-cheat checks will be in place that will validate each game session. Sessions which raise flags will be up for review. 

If we determine that you cheated at any time during the interactive experience, we reserve the right to terminate your access to further gameplay and you will not be eligible to transform your Sewer Pass!

What are the tech requirements to participate?

We only officially support the two most recent versions of Chrome, Firefox, Brave, Edge, and Safari on desktop, tablet, and mobile.

Sewer Passes

What is a Sewer Pass? 

A Sewer Pass is your ticket to play Dookey Dash, a skill-based mint. You will need to play the game and hold onto your pass through March 8, 2023. Then, if you’ve played and have a score greater than 0, your Sewer Pass will be eligible to transform into something new. The number of Sewer Pass transformations will be determined by the number of Sewer Pass and wallet combinations that are eligible to transform, with a maximum of 30,000.  

Ok, so I get a Sewer Pass. I play Dookey Dash. Then what?

After you play Dookey Dash, you’ll need to hold onto your Sewer Pass until March 8, 2023. Then, if you’ve played and have a score of greater than 0, your Sewer Pass will be eligible to transform into something new. 

What are the criteria for making sure my Sewer Pass is eligible to transform?

In order for your Sewer Pass to be eligible to transform, and to see what it reveals, you must do all of the following:

• Get a Sewer Pass (BAYC and MAYC holders can claim these for free, but will be responsible for covering their own gas fees)
• Use a Sewer Pass to play Dookey Dash (anyone can hold a Sewer Pass, even without a BAYC or MAYC token, and anyone with a Sewer Pass can play Dookey Dash)
• Get a score greater than 0 at least once
• Keep your Sewer Pass in the same wallet you used to play. Your Sewer Pass needs to reflect the score you achieved, which means you must have the same Sewer Pass in the same wallet that you played with by the time Dookey Dash ends on February 8, 2023. Sewer Passes that end up in wallets with a 0 score (or that did not participate in Dookey Dash) will not be eligible to transform.

I have a BAYC and/or MAYC token, plus a BAKC token. What are my options for claiming Sewer Passes?

You can combine your BAYC or MAYC with a BAKC for a higher-tiered Sewer Pass. 

I have multiple BAYC, MAYC, and/or BAKC. In what ways can I claim my Sewer Pass? 

No need to brag. You do have some options though. For example, if you have two BAYC and one BAKC, you could claim a Tier 4 Sewer Pass with one Ape and your Doggo and claim another Tier 3 Sewer Pass with your unpaired Ape.

What if my wallet holds several Sewer Passes? How/when do I select which one to save my score on?

If your wallet holds more than one Sewer Pass, you’ll be able to select which Sewer Pass to use prior to starting a run in Dookey Dash.

Can I transfer/sell a Sewer Pass to someone who doesn’t have a BAYC or MAYC token?

You sure can!

When I transfer/sell my Sewer Pass to someone else, does the tier go with it? Do I need to transfer my BAYC or MAYC token too?

You only need to transfer your Sewer Pass. If you transfer your Sewer Pass to a friend, they’ll have all of the tier benefits associated with the BAYC or MAYC token linked to that pass, even if they don’t hold other tokens. 

For example, if you transfer your Tier 4 Sewer Pass, the recipient will receive a Tier 4 Sewer Pass, even if they don’t hold any BAYC, MAYC, or BAKC tokens. 

What if I transfer/sell my Sewer Pass to someone who does have a BAYC, MAYC, and/or BAKC token? Can they upgrade my pass tier?

No, the tier of a Sewer Pass cannot be changed once it is claimed. If, for example, you transfer a Tier 1 Sewer Pass to someone else, it will remain a Tier 1 Sewer Pass regardless of what BAYC, MAYC, or BAKC tokens they hold. 

If I receive a Sewer Pass from someone else, what’s included?

If you participate with a Sewer Pass you received but didn’t claim yourself, then you still get all of the tier attributes of that Sewer Pass, including the points bonus for that tier and the additional points bonus for that tier if you choose to buy a power-up. Any previous high score, if that Sewer Pass was used to play before you received it, is not attached to the Sewer Pass — scores are attached to the specific wallet and Sewer Pass combination used to play. 

How will I know if a specific BAYC, MAYC, or BAKC token is eligible to claim a Sewer Pass? 

On January 18, 2023, mdvmm.xyz will have a checker tool you can use to see if a BAYC, MAYC, or BAKC already claimed their one-time Sewer Pass claim. Please note that this checker updates as Sewer Passes are claimed. If you are purchasing a BAYC, MAYC, or BAKC NFT on the secondary market, it’s possible for someone to claim the associated Sewer Pass immediately after you have checked making the NFT no longer eligible.

What do the tiers mean for the experience?

Every Sewer Pass falls into one of four tiers, which determine your score’s bonus percentage. 

If I move my Sewer Pass to a different wallet, does my score move with it?

No. Your score is associated with the unique Sewer Pass and wallet combination that achieved it. If a Sewer Pass is moved to a wallet that did not previously participate in the experience with that exact Sewer Pass, then that combination will reflect a score of 0.

What happens if I move my Sewer Pass to a different wallet but then move it back to the original wallet I played with? Will I keep my score from before? 

Yes. Your score is associated with the unique Sewer Pass and wallet combination that achieved it. If you move your Sewer Pass to a new wallet but later move the same exact Sewer Pass back to the original wallet, the best score you achieved will be kept in the original wallet. 

Can I transfer my Sewer Pass after I use it to play?

Yes! Your scores, however, will remain tied to your wallet address. So if the Sewer Pass is transferred, the Sewer Pass recipient will start fresh with a 0 score. 

Can two or more people use the same Sewer Pass?

Only one person can fully participate at a time. Scores are tied to the combination of the Sewer Pass and the wallet holding the Sewer Pass when the score was achieved. 

What can I do with my Sewer Pass? 

You may use a Sewer Pass to 1) play Dookey Dash, 2) transfer the Sewer Pass NFT, and 3) display the Sewer Pass art for personal purposes. You do not own or have a license to use the art/image related to the Sewer Pass except as permitted by (1) - (3). All rights in and to such art are reserved by Yuga Labs, Inc.. You may not commercialize (such as starting a tee-shirt collection with your Sewer Pass on it) or create derivative works based on the Sewer Passes (e.g., making a 3D model of the Sewer Pass).

What’s that number on the Sewer Pass?

The serial number on every claimed Sewer Pass adds uniqueness to your Sewer Pass but has no effect on gameplay!

To be EXTRA clear, the serial number has NO EFFECT on gameplay or what your Sewer Pass could reveal.

How do I play?

The interactive mint is playable like an endless runner—a category of game where you attempt to go as far as possible as the game progresses in difficulty. Your mission: get in the sewer to dodge and break through obstacles as you pick up items called fragments. 

The controls for the game are simple. The main things you’ll need to know in order to get one step closer to winning first place are:

• To move, dodge and capture fragments, use your trackpad or mouse. If you’re on mobile, well, just use your finger. Wherever you move, your character will follow. 
• To use your Dash and burst through the wooden obstacles, left click with your mouse or simply click your trackpad. If you’re on mobile, tap on the screen to Dash. You do NOT need a Powershart Pack in order to Dash.
• To collect fragments, move your character to run into it. 
• A note on Powershart Packs: these will be activated the moment you buy them. So you will not press anything to activate it during game play because it will already be in effect. 

Do I need a Powershart Pack in order to Dash?

No, you do NOT need a Powershart Pack in order to Dash.

How do I score points?

Your score is determined by a number of factors, including how long you survive your run, types of fragments you pick up along the way, and the obstacles you destroy. Here’s a breakdown of the fragment types and point values:

• Common = 300
• Uncommon = 500
• Rare = 1000
• Epic = 1500
• Legendary = 2000

The longer you last in the sewer, and the more fragments you collect (and rarer those fragments are), the more points you rack up. Different tier Sewer Passes will add different point bonuses to your final score. Here’s the breakdown:

• Tier 4 = 30% bonus
• Tier 3 = 20% bonus
• Tier 2 = 10% bonus
• Tier 1 = no bonus

The best score you achieved during the interactive playing experience will determine what your Sewer Pass will summon starting on February 15. 

I want even more points. How do I do that?

Practice more, keep playing! Or buy a Powershart Pack for 2 APE before starting a run — tap BUY BOOSTER on the start screen. Powershart Packs are a trio of boosters that last for 10 minutes from the time of purchase. They are totally optional and you can play without using them.

• Double Dash: The cooldown for your Dash will be reduced by half. Normally, when you fail to repel a piece of debris or Dash when there is no wooden obstacle, your Dash has a three-second cooldown before it’s available again (there is no cooldown when you successfully break through an obstacle or repel a piece of debris). With the Boost, your Dash cooldown will only be 1.5 seconds. 
  
• Chart Topper: 15% bonus added to boost percentage! For example, if you have a Tier 4 Sewer Pass, your baseline bonus is 30%. With the boost it becomes 45%. Which means if you score 300 then at the end of the game your total will be 435.
• Gold Digger: Rare, Epic, and Legendary items appear more frequently.

Oh yeah, if for example you start a run with only 5 seconds left on your Powershart Pack, the boost will still persist for the entire duration of that run. Why? Cause we’re nice.

Is there a minimum number of fragments I need to collect in order for my Sewer Pass to be eligible for the reveal?

There are no minimum fragments to collect, but you will need to achieve a score higher than 0.

How do I summon the ultimate power source?

Everyone who plays Dookey Dash (and gets a score above 0) will receive a power source. The player with the highest score will receive the ultimate power source.

What if there is a tie?

If there’s a points tie, the player who got the highest score first — determined by when they started their top-scoring run — will receive the key.

Is there a limit to how many times I can play?

Emotionally, maybe. But not from our end. You can play to your heart's content until Dookey Dash ends on Feb 8, 2023. 

How does the bonus math work out for my tier Sewer Pass when I use a Powershart Pack?

To review, the Sewer Pass points bonus per tier is:

Tier 4 = 30% bonus

Tier 3 = 20% bonus 

Tier 2 = 10% bonus 

Tier 1 = no bonus points

The Powershart Pack’s Chart Topper booster adds 15% to your tier bonus. Your total points bonus — the combination of your tier bonus and your Powershart Pack bonus — becomes the following:

Tier 4 = 45% total bonus

Tier 3 = 35% total bonus

Tier 2 = 25% total bonus

Tier 1 = 15% total bonus

Can I buy one of the Powershart boosters separately?

No, each Powershart is made up of a trio boosters that are all active simultaneously for 10 minutes at point of purchase. Boosters cannot be purchased or used on their own — only as a trio. 

How much time do I have to use my Powershart Pack?

You will have 10 minutes from the time of purchase to use your Powershart Pack. This is 10 minutes of real-world time, not 10 minutes of gameplay.

Can I split up my Powershart Pack and use each booster for 10 minutes each?

No. 

What happens if I don’t use my Powershart Pack in that 10 minutes? Will I lose them? Will I be refunded? 

Think before you shart. Your 10 minute Powershart Pack ends exactly 10 minutes after you purchase it, whether or not you use it. No refunds, so be strategic!

Will my Powershart Pack run out in the middle of a run?

No. Even if the time on your Powershart runs out while you’re playing, as long as it was active when you began your run, it will remain active and all three boosters will remain enabled as usual.

Can I buy multiple Powershart Packs at once?

Yes, this will extend your time in 10 minute increments but will not stack any of the boosters (e.g. you won't get a 30% point bonus if you buy 2).

Is there a limit to how many Powershart Packs I can buy?

There is no limit on how many you can buy. Please note that buying additional Powershart Packs will only add to the amount of time that it remains active. In other words, only the time of how long the Powershart Pack lasts will stack if you purchase more than one. For example, if you purchase two Powershart Packs then your boost will last for 20 minutes.

You can only buy one Powershart Pack per transaction. Meaning, if you would like to purchase 3 Powershart Packs for example, you would need to make 3 separate purchases.

Will I be able to pay for Powershart Packs with something other than ApeCoin?

No, we only accept ApeCoin for Powershart Pack purchases.

What happens if I get a Sewer Pass but don’t play Dookey Dash at all?

If on February 15th, 2023, a Sewer Pass is held in a wallet that did not participate in the experience and/or holds a score of 0, the Sewer Pass will remain unrevealed.

The Collection

Is this collection going to be a membership token like BAYC?

No, this will not be a membership token.

How does the summoning work?  

Starting on March 8, 2023, any Sewer Pass that was used to play Dookey Dash during the January 19th through February 8th period that has a frozen score tied to it will be eligible to summon a power source in return. The traits of what you summon are associated with the highest score from your Sewer Pass’s frozen score.

Is there a deadline for the summoning?

You'll want to summon your power source so that it can be utilized in the future mini-game sets to reach the Evo 2 stage and beyond.

How many summonings can I perform for each Sewer Pass?

Every eligible Sewer Pass will be able to participate in one summoning.

In other words, when the summoning begins you must hold a Sewer Pass that has a frozen score tied to it from playing at least one round of Dookey Dash with a score greater than 0!

Are there different types of power sources that could be summoned?

Every summoning will result in a unique power source that will consist of traits of varying rarity. Your power source won't look exactly the same as any others.

What can I do with my new power source after the summoning?

After the summoning, holders will have a license to use the art/image related to the applicable NFT for personal purposes and to commercialize and create derivative works of that art.

While Yuga Labs, Inc. will not commercialize the art of any individual NFT in this collection (or derivatives of such art) that we do not own (e.g., to create t-shirts depicting art of your individual NFT), we retain the right to use that art (and derivations created by us) in our current and future projects and business. For example, they may appear in our games, videos, websites, and other IP that we produce.

Reminders!

As we wind down to the end of Sewer Pass claim and the Dookey Dash experience this Feb 8th we want to dive into some key points everyone should keep in mind regarding scoring and delegation. Sewer Passes will need to be tied to a frozen nonzero score after the Feb 8th deadline to participate in the summoning. Passes tied to a score of 0 after Feb 8th will become invalidated and cannot be used to summon.

If the Sewer Pass has moved into a new wallet and you have not played the game with that pass, the score for that pass is 0.

Delegated wallets - if you played a pass with your cold wallet and your hot wallet, or with different warm wallets, remember that each wallet + pass ID combo has a different score. Play the last run with the wallet you want the score to lock on before Feb 8th!

ELI5? Both wallets will have their separate score sets. Make sure whichever wallet has the high score you want recorded is the last wallet to connect and play prior to the Feb 8th deadline. If you still have questions or concerns regarding scoring ahead of the deadline head over to the BAYC discord and open a support ticket.

Does Dookey Dash support wallet delegation tooling like warm.xyz and delegate.cash?

Yes. The score for the Sewer Pass will be tied to the highest score of the wallet that played the game last (whether the delegated wallet or the delegator). Note that if the Sewer Pass moves out of the cold wallet, then the score on the delegated wallet will go to 0.

But walk me through how delegation works? Tell me more!

We currently support warm.xyz and delegate.cash for claiming the Sewer Pass and authenticating users into the game. This makes it possible for somebody to hold their BAYC, MAYC and BAKC in a cold wallet, establish a delegation relationship between that cold wallet and a hot wallet, and connect their hot wallet to the site to claim their Sewer Pass (which will be minted to the delegated hot wallet). During the experience it is also possible to hold the Sewer Pass in a cold wallet and use a delegated hot wallet on the website to play the game. 

If you play the game with a delegated hot wallet, it is the hot wallet address (the wallet delegated to) that will show up on the scoreboard, not the cold wallet address that holds the Sewer Pass.

As in the Sewer Pass transfer scenario, if a particular game pass appears on the scoreboard associated with a delegated hot wallet, logging in and playing with the corresponding cold wallet will cause the hot wallet’s score to be dropped from the scoreboard and replaced by the cold wallet score. Similarly, if a particular Sewer Pass is delegated to several hot wallets, the scoreboard will only reflect the score associated with the last hot wallet to play the game with that Sewer Pass.

What kind of information will be recorded when I play?

For each connected wallet, we collect the wallet’s address, game data (like score, the fragments collected, and number of times played), which fragments make up the Sewer Pass when it is eligible to transform, acceptance of legal terms, and BAYC, MAYC, and/or BAKC NFT token IDs. Something went wrong with my Powershart Pack — I didn't get to use it at all or my Powershart was cut short. What should I do?

If you purchased a Powershart but don’t see it, we recommend you try your purchase again. If you still don’t see it, or if you think your Powershart time was shorter than 10 minutes, reach out  to [email protected] with details, including the transaction hash, and someone will get back to you soon. Rest assured, if you didn’t receive something that you paid for, our support team will help you with a refund.

I think I found a bug. What should I do?

Get a piece of paper and a cup. Trap the bug by gently closing the cup over it and carefully sliding the piece of paper underneath. Gently but firmly pick up both the piece of paper and cup like a sandwich and release the bug at the nearest exit to nature. If it’s a technical bug, please report it by reaching out to [email protected].

I know for a fact that I collected items that are not showing up for me, what can I do?

If you suspect an issue collecting your items, we encourage you to report it to our support team at [email protected].

I think I notice someone up to some monkey business (cheating), what should I do?

If you suspect someone is up to something fishy, reach out to [email protected] or open a support ticket in the official BAYC discord with details.

The game isn't working in my country, what should I do?

In accordance to US laws, a small number of countries may be blocked from playing the game or accessing the site. If you have questions about this, you can reach out to our Community Managers in Discord or [email protected].
