Time to get to licking!
Heads up Dashers, the Sewers have reopened! Suit Gary up and dive in on DookeyDash.com.
Welcome back, Dookey Dashers.
We have a new mission for you. We discovered recently the sewer is home to more than just cows, phone booths, and debris…it’s got toads.
Toad Mode is a limited-time Dookey Dash event that will give you a chance to join Gary in the sewer for one week to lick some toads for an opportunity to unlock a companion trait to your Power Source during The Summoning starting on March 15th, 2023. It’s also the last chance for those who don’t have a score on a Sewer Pass to log a score to participate in what comes next.
Usually, we’d tell you to jump right in, but hey, who doesn’t enjoy reading a sexy FAQ?
The Basics
What is Toad Mode? Who can play?
Toad Mode is a special version of Dookey Dash and follows similar principles. It’s a skill-based endless runner — a category of game where you attempt to go as far as possible as the game progresses in difficulty. Your new mission: get in the sewer to dodge and break through obstacles as you pick up fragments — and now toads!
As long as you have a Sewer Pass, even one that has an N/A rank or 0 score, you can play Dookey Dash: Toad Mode at https://mdvmm.xyz from February 22, 2023 to March 1, 2023.
How do I get Sewer Pass to play?
When the sewer first opened, Sewer Passes could only be claimed by BAYC and MAYC holders. If you didn’t have a BAYC or MAYC NFT, you couldn't claim a Sewer Pass, but you could acquire one on the secondary market or access one through warm wallet delegation. The same rules apply for Dookey Dash: Toad Mode, but remember that we do not control secondary platforms and we urge you to do your research if you wish to acquire one.
How is scoring tracked for Toad Mode?
In Dookey Dash: Toad Mode, the Leaderboard will now show two different scores tied to your Sewer Pass. One score will be your Toad Points, based on the number and kinds of toads you collect in a single run of Toad Mode (more on Toad Points below). The other score will be your points accumulated from fragments collected, items bonked, barriers broken, and distance traveled—the Toad Points will not affect this score.
Both scores show the best/highest score per RUN (not cumulative). More details in the following sections!
Sooooooo, my Sewer Pass didn’t pass the review on 2/15/23 and it has an N/A status…
This is your last chance! Log a score in Dookey Dash: Toad Mode to be eligible to participate in The Summoning!
Those who have ranks on their Sewer Passes cannot increase their existing rank through Toad Mode. Only Sewer Passes designated N/A or that have a 0 score on a Sewer Pass can log score (so that they can participate in The Summoning).
My Sewer Pass did pass the review and has a rank. Can I improve the rank through Toad Mode?
No, your rank will stay the same. Only Sewer Passes without a rank as of 2/15/23 will be ranked through participating in Toad Mode (note: those passes will only be eligible to summon a Power Source ranked below the existing Dookey Dash leaderboard that was locked 2/15/23, regardless of their score in Toad Mode).
Where will N/A Sewer Passes rank if they log a score in Toad Mode?
N/A Passes that play Toad Mode will be eligible to summon a Power Source ranked below the existing Dookey Dash leaderboard. It won’t be tied to your score in Toad Mode.
When are scores final?
Like Dookey Dash, there will be a review period after the sewers close. We’ll provide you with more details via Twitter and the blog!
What you scored in Dookey Dash will not affect the score you achieved in the Dookey Dash: Toad Mode experience and vice versa.
Remind me, can I cheat? I’m desperate.
Nah. Anti-cheat checks will be in place that will review each game session. Sessions which raise flags will be up for review.
If we determine that you cheated at any time during the interactive experience, we reserve the right to terminate your access to further gameplay and the score earned from playing in Dookey Dash: Toad Mode will be reset (but the locked score from the Dookey Dash leaderboard will be preserved).
What is an unranked Power Source?
"Unranked" Power Sources are Power Sources from the lowest rarity pool. After Sewer Passes with Dookey Dash ranks are summoned for Power Sources, the remaining Power Sources will be allocated to N/A Sewer Passes. Unranked Power Sources have an N/A rank metadata tag (vs the rank/score on all other valid Power Sources).
I have an N/A Sewer Pass from Dookey Dash. Can I use it in Toad Mode? Can I still get a Power Source?
N/A Sewer Passes that play Toad Mode and get a valid score greater than zero can burn their Sewer Pass for a Power Source during the Summoning. Burned N/A Passes will be given a Power Source ranked under the previous Dookey Dash placings. The Power Source won’t be tied to your score in Toad Mode.
N/A Sewer Passes will not update the ranking visual displayed on the passes, even after playing Toad Mode. However, once you play it will be eligible for The Summoning, so be sure to keep track of which passes you played with, and keep them within the wallet you used to play with until the Sewer closes again.
What are the tech requirements to participate?
We only officially support the two most recent versions of Chrome, Firefox, Brave, Edge, and Safari on desktop, tablet, and mobile.
Plug and play peripheral controllers for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices are not supported.
What wallets are supported?
We support MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, and any hardware/software wallet compatible with WalletConnect. However, we cannot guarantee support for smart contract wallets, such as Gnosis Safe.
Who can I reach out to if I’m having a technical problem or need a virtual hug?
Please reach out to our Community Managers in Discord or [email protected] if you are having an issue and one of our support agents will respond as soon as possible, ready with that virtual hug.
Sewer Passes
What is a Sewer Pass?
A Sewer Pass was your ticket to play Dookey Dash, a skill-based mint. You needed it to play the game and had to hold onto your pass through February 15, 2023. Sewer passes with scores greater than 0 would be eligible to transform into something new.
The number of Sewer Pass transformations was determined by the number of Sewer Pass and wallet combinations that are eligible to transform, with a maximum of 30,000.
Sewer Passes are no longer claimable as of February 8, 2023.
What happens if I get a Sewer Pass but don’t play Dookey Dash: Toad Mode at all?
You can participate in The Summoning as long as you hold a ranked Sewer Pass, even if you don’t play Toad Mode. But if you have a N/A or 0 score Sewer Pass, playing Toad Mode is your last chance to log a score to be eligible to participate in The Summoning.
What if my wallet holds several Sewer Passes? How/when do I select which one to save my score on?
If your wallet holds more than one Sewer Pass, you’ll be able to select and switch between which Sewer Pass to use prior to starting a run in Dookey Dash: Toad Mode.
Can I transfer/sell a Sewer Pass to someone who doesn’t have a BAYC or MAYC token?
You sure can! However, see below on how moving Sewer Passes to different wallets can impact their associated scores.
When I transfer/sell my Sewer Pass to someone else, does the tier go with it? Do I need to transfer my BAYC or MAYC token too?
You only need to transfer your Sewer Pass. If you transfer your Sewer Pass to a friend, they’ll have all of the tier benefits associated with the BAYC or MAYC token linked to that pass, even if they don’t hold other tokens.
For example, if you transfer your Tier 4 Sewer Pass, the recipient will receive a Tier 4 Sewer Pass, regardless of what BAYC/MAYC/BAKC NFTs they hold, if any.
What if I transfer/sell my Sewer Pass to someone who does have a BAYC, MAYC, and/or BAKC token? Can they upgrade my pass tier?
No, the tier of a Sewer Pass cannot be changed once it is claimed. If, for example, you transfer a Tier 1 Sewer Pass to someone else, it will remain a Tier 1 Sewer Pass regardless of what BAYC, MAYC, or BAKC tokens they hold.
Remind me, if I received a Sewer Pass from someone else, what’s included?
If you participated with a Sewer Pass you received but didn’t claim yourself, then you still got all of the tier attributes of that Sewer Pass, including the points bonus for that tier and the additional points bonus for that tier if you choose to buy a power-up. The high score for each respective Sewer Pass was locked on February 15, 2023, and the rank of the Sewer Pass is what’s displayed.
What do the tiers mean for the experience?
The tiers function exactly the same as Dookey Dash. More details below!
If I move my Sewer Pass to a different wallet, does my score move with it?
Your Sewer Pass score and rank from Dookey Dash are locked and follow the pass wherever it’s transferred.
However, as with Dookey Dash prior to the sewers closing, scores achieved during Dookey Dash: Toad Mode are associated with the unique Sewer Pass and wallet combination that achieved it. If a Sewer Pass is moved to a wallet that did not previously participate in Dookey Dash: Toad Mode with that exact Sewer Pass, then that combination will reflect a Dookey Dash: Toad Mode score of 0.
What happens if I move my Sewer Pass to a different wallet but then move it back to the original wallet I played with? Will I keep my score from before?
Yes. Your score is associated with the unique Sewer Pass and wallet combination that achieved it. If you move your Sewer Pass to a new wallet but later move the same exact Sewer Pass back to the original wallet, the best score you achieved will be kept in the original wallet. If a transfer or redelegation occurs, be sure to play the last run on the wallet you want the high score to register from
Can I transfer my Sewer Pass after I use it to play?
Yes! Your scores, however, will remain tied to your wallet address. So if the Sewer Pass is transferred, the Sewer Pass recipient will start fresh with a 0 score for Toad Mode.
Can two or more people use the same Sewer Pass?
Two people cannot play on the same sewer pass at the same exact time. Multiple players can use the same Sewer Pass but keep in mind scores are tied to the last Sewer Pass and the wallet address combination to play Toad Mode.
What can I do with my Sewer Pass?
You can 1) play Dookey Dash: Toad Mode, 2) transfer/sell the Sewer Pass NFT, and 3) display the artwork associated with your Sewer Pass NFT for personal purposes. You do not have ownership or a license to use the art/image associated with your Sewer Pass NFT except as permitted by (1) - (3). All rights in and to such art are reserved by Yuga Labs, Inc. You may not commercialize (such as starting a tee-shirt collection with your Sewer Pass on it) or create derivative works based on the Sewer Passes (e.g., making a 3D model of the Sewer Pass).
This is only a high-level summary of the rights and restrictions of the Sewer Pass NFT and the Sewer Pass art. The full and legally binding license agreement is available at https://mdvmm.xyz/license.
What do the numbers on the Sewer Pass mean?
The number on your Sewer Pass reflects the rank of that pass. If your Sewer Pass has an “N/A” in place of the number, that means it did not pass our review process.
Playing Dookey Dash: Toad Mode will be the final chance to achieve a score greater than 0 for an opportunity to receive an unranked Power Source.
Toad Mode
How do I play?
Your new mission is to get back into the sewer to “lick” those toads (by running into them; no actual licking involved)! Dodge and break through obstacles as you pick up those fragments like before, and stay on your toes. From the 0:30 mark to the 1:05 mark during your run, you’ll have a chance to pick up the toads that appear. When Toad Mode ends at 1:05, it’s back to Dookey Dash business as usual.
The controls for the game are exactly like Dookey Dash. Here are the main things you’ll need to know:
- To move, dodge and capture fragments, use your trackpad or mouse. If you’re on mobile, well, just use your finger. Wherever you move, your character will follow.
- To use your Dash and burst through a wooden obstacle, left click with your mouse or simply click your trackpad. If you’re on mobile, tap on the screen to Dash. You do NOT need a Powershart Pack in order to Dash.
- To collect a fragment, move your character to run into it.
- To “lick” a toad, move your character to run into it.
- A note on Powershart Packs: these activate the moment you buy them. So you don’t need to press anything to activate Powershart Pack boosts during game play; they will already be active.
Do I need a Powershart Pack in order to Dash?
No, you do NOT need a Powershart Pack in order to Dash.
Ok, but what in the flying slime sacks is Toad Mode?
During a run in Dookey Dash: Toad Mode, things will start off like a regular run…but at some point things will get kind of…wild and trippy. That’s the “toad mode” of Toad Mode. Don’t worry, you’ll be given a few seconds to prepare yourself. Once Toad Mode begins, you’ll experience some fun surprises for a limited amount of time. We don’t want to spoil too much, but Toad Mode is when toads will appear. You need to lick the toads by running through them.
During Toad Mode, pipes, fans, and wooden walls disappear, and you become invincible to floating objects, so there aren’t any obstacles that could end your run.
Once Toad Mode ends, toads will stop appearing and the game will revert back to normal gameplay, meaning all rules of regular Dookey Dash will apply again. In other words, after Toad Mode ends, make sure not to crash into obstacles or your run will end.
Do I need a Powershart Pack in order to activate Toad Mode?
No, you do NOT need a Powershart Pack in order to activate Toad Mode.
How do I score points?
The fragments are still here in Toad Mode! Your score is determined by a number of factors, including how long you survive your run, types of fragments you pick up along the way, the obstacles you destroy, and now, the kind of toads you pick up. Here’s a breakdown of the fragment and toad types with their point values:
Fragments
- Common: 300
- Uncommon: 500
- Rare: 1000
- Epic: 1500
- Legendary: 2000
Toads
- Uncommon: 30
- Rare: 50
- Epic: 100
- Legendary: 150
And again in a pretty chart:
Like Dookey Dash, the longer you last in the sewer and the more fragments you collect (and rarer those fragments), the more points you rack up. The points breakdown for fragments in Toad Mode is the same as for the original Dookey Dash.
Like Dookey Dash, the Sewer Pass tier dictates the point bonus added to your final score and Toad Point count. A reminder of the breakdown:
- Tier 1 = no bonus
- Tier 2 = 10% bonus
- Tier 3 = 20% bonus
- Tier 4 = 30% bonus
What are Toad Points?
Toads you lick during Toad Mode have point values associated with them dependent on rarity. Here it is again!
- Uncommon: 30
- Rare: 50
- Epic: 100
- Legendary: 150
You will have two types of scores that will be recorded on the one leaderboard. One score will be the high score you achieved during a run NOT INCLUDING Toad Points (labeled as PTS) and the other score will be the Toad Points (labeled as TPS) you achieved during a run.
Each run will essentially have two separate scores.
How does ranking in Toad Mode work?
The top 500 score runs from Toad Mode will receive a companion trait to their Power Source. 2000 additional companion traits will be awarded to the 2,000 players who collected the most Toad Points, without duplicating anyone who were top 500 overall. Everyone has a chance. It’s not just about going far, it’s also about licki– we mean, picking up as many toads as you can.
Every Sewer Pass can only hold ONE companion, even if it has a top high score for both total run and Toad Points.
If the same person holds placements in both the top 500 and top 2000, the companion earned will be based on the player having a 500 run. If they fall out of the top 500, then they will earn the companion based on their top 2000 placement (if it still stands).
I want even more points. How do I do that?
Practice more, keep playing! Or buy a Powershart Pack for 2 APE before starting a run — tap BUY BOOSTER on the start screen. Powershart Packs are a trio of boosters that last for 10 minutes from the time of purchase. They are totally optional and you can play without using them.
Remember, Powershart Packs purchased from a cold wallet will NOT apply to any delegated warm wallets. Powershart Pack effects will only apply on the wallet that is performing the run. In other words, if you decide to delegate your Sewer Pass to someone else, the Powershart Pack must be purchased on that delegated wallet in order for the effects to apply.
Let’s review what kinds of boosts you can get when you purchase a Powershart Pack.
- Double Dash: The cooldown for your Dash will be reduced by half. Normally, when you fail to repel a piece of debris or Dash when there is no wooden obstacle, your Dash has a three-second cooldown before it’s available again (there is no cooldown when you successfully break through an obstacle or repel a piece of debris). With the Boost, your Dash cooldown will only be 1.5 seconds.
undefined - Chart Topper: 15% bonus added to boost percentage! For example, if you have a Tier 4 Sewer Pass, your baseline bonus is 30%. With the boost it becomes 45%. Which means if you score 300 then at the end of the game your total will be 435.
- Gold Digger: Higher rarity fragments and toads will appear more frequently.
Oh yeah, if for example you start a run with only 3 seconds left on your Powershart Pack, the boost will still persist for the entire duration of that run. Why? Cause we’re nice.
Is there a minimum number of toads I need to collect in order to earn a companion trait?
Whether you receive a companion trait to your Power Source depends on how well you stack up against other players. Companion traits are available to:
- The top 500 runs (not counting Toad Points); and
- The top 2000 runs based on Toad Points in a single run.
What if there is a tie?
Like Dookey Dash, if there’s a points tie on either overall score or Toad Points, priority goes to the player who got the highest score first — determined by when they started their top-scoring run.
Is there a limit to how many times I can play?
Emotionally, maybe. But not from our end. You can play to your heart's content until Dookey Dash: Toad Mode ends on March 1, 2023.
Explain to me how the bonus math works out for my tier Sewer Pass when I use a Powershart Pack again…
To review, the Sewer Pass points bonus per tier is:
Tier 4: 30% bonus
Tier 3: 20% bonus
Tier 2: 10% bonus
Tier 1: no bonus points
The Powershart Pack’s Chart Topper booster adds 15% to your tier bonus. Your total points bonus — the combination of your tier bonus and your Powershart Pack bonus — becomes the following:
Tier 4: 45% total bonus
Tier 3: 35% total bonus
Tier 2: 25% total bonus
Tier 1: 15% total bonus
Bringing back the pretty table!
Can I buy one of the Powershart boosters separately?
No, each Powershart is made up of a trio boosters that are all active simultaneously for 10 minutes at point of purchase. Boosters cannot be purchased or used on their own — only as a trio.
What wallet should I use to buy PowerSharts with?
Powersharts must be purchased from the wallet that is playing Toad Mode even if it's not the wallet holding the pass itself.
How much time do I have to use my Powershart Pack?
You will have 10 minutes from the time of purchase to use your Powershart Pack. This is 10 minutes of real-world time, not 10 minutes of gameplay.
Can I split up my Powershart Pack and use each booster for 10 minutes each?
No.
What happens if I don’t use my Powershart Pack in that 10 minutes? Will I lose them? Will I be refunded?
Think before you shart. Your 10 minute Powershart Pack ends exactly 10 minutes after you purchase it, whether or not you use it. No refunds, so be strategic!
Will my Powershart Pack run out in the middle of a run?
No. Even if the time on your Powershart runs out while you’re playing, as long as it was active when you began your run, it will remain active and all three boosters will remain enabled as usual.
Can I buy multiple Powershart Packs at once?
Yes, this will extend your time in 10 minute increments but will not stack any of the boosters (e.g. you won't get a 30% point bonus if you buy 2).
Is there a limit to how many Powershart Packs I can buy?
There is no limit on how many you can buy. Please note that buying additional Powershart Packs will only add to the amount of time that it remains active. In other words, only the time of how long the Powershart Pack lasts will stack if you purchase more than one. For example, if you purchase two Powershart Packs then your boost will last for 20 minutes.
You can also bulk buy Powershart Packs per each transaction. Meaning, if you would like to purchase 3 Powershart Packs with the intention to play for 30 minutes at that time for example, you would only need to make one purchase.
Will I be able to pay for Powershart Packs with something other than ApeCoin?
No, we only accept ApeCoin for Powershart Pack purchases.
The Collection
What exactly is The Summoning?
The Summoning is an opportunity for holders of eligible Sewer Passes to burn their Sewer Pass NFT and mint their Power Source, a separate and new NFT. Keep in mind that you won’t be able to undo your Summoning, and once you burn your Sewer Pass you can’t get it back.
This is just the beginning, and your Power Source may undergo additional transformations in its journey. Hold your Power Source close, because they will have applications in future experiences!
Can you tell me how The Summoning works again?
On March 15th, 2023, Sewer Passes that ranked in Dookey Dash or Dookey Dash: Toad Mode will be eligible to summon a Power Source. The traits of your Power Source are associated with your Sewer Pass rank and if you picked up a toad during the special Dookey Dash: Toad Mode. If your score is based on playing Dookey Dash: Toad Mode only (because you played with a N/A or 0-score Sewer Pass), your pass will be eligible to summon a Power Source ranked below the existing Dookey Dash leaderboard.
Again, any passes marked “N/A” after Toad Mode scores are finalized will not be eligible to participate in The Summoning.
What happens if I have a valid Sewer Pass but don’t participate in the Summoning?
You have to summon your Power Source in order for it to be utilized in the future mini-game sets to reach the Evo 2 stage and beyond. There’s no benefit to holding on to your Sewer Pass instead of participating in the Summoning. The Summoning begins on March 15th — stay tuned for further details on timing.
How many summonings can I perform for each Sewer Pass?
Every eligible Sewer Pass will be able to participate in one summoning.
Are there different types of Power Sources that could be summoned?
Yes — there are eight types of Power Sources. In addition, your Power Source will be imprinted with your rank, which will affect its journey and determine its unique final form.
Tech Stuff
Remember, don’t refresh while you are trying to purchase a Powershart.
Refreshing your page before receiving a confirmation of your purchased Powershart may result in receiving a notification that you will need to wait a short period of time before being able to play. Please be patient! You’ll get into the sewer soon enough.
Does Dookey Dash support wallet delegation tooling like warm.xyz and delegate.cash?
Yes. The score for the Sewer Pass will be tied to the highest score of the wallet that played the game last (whether the delegated wallet or the delegator). Note that if the Sewer Pass moves out of the cold wallet, then the score on the delegated wallet will go to 0.
But walk me through how delegation works? Tell me more!
We currently support warm.xyz and delegate.cash to access Toad Mode. During the experience it is also possible to hold the Sewer Pass in a cold wallet and use a delegated hot wallet on the website to play the game.
If you play the game with a delegated hot wallet, it is the hot wallet address (the wallet delegated to) that will show up on the scoreboard, not the cold wallet address that holds the Sewer Pass.
As in the Sewer Pass transfer scenario, if a particular game pass appears on the scoreboard associated with a delegated hot wallet, logging in and playing with the corresponding cold wallet will cause the hot wallet’s score to be dropped from the scoreboard and replaced by the cold wallet score. Similarly, if a particular Sewer Pass is delegated to several hot wallets, the scoreboard will only reflect the score associated with the last hot wallet to play the game with that Sewer Pass. Only one active game session is allowed at a time per token, meaning if a sewer pass is delegated to several wallets, only one wallet will be able to play at a time.
Warnings
If you are delegating passes, do your due diligence. Make sure the person you're working with is playing fairly. If you have any concerns with how that person might have been using your pass while delegated, remove delegation and log a new score before the leaderboard locks. You are responsible for ensuring that your Sewer Pass was not used to cheat by you or anyone else who played with it!
Delegated wallets: if you played a pass with your cold wallet and your hot wallet, or with different warm wallets, remember that each wallet + pass ID combo has a different score. Play the last run with the wallet you want the score to lock on before Toad Mode ends.

What kind of information will be recorded when I play?
For each connected wallet, we collect the wallet’s address, game data (like score, the fragments collected, and number of times played), which fragments make up the Sewer Pass when it is eligible to transform, acceptance of legal terms, and BAYC, MAYC, and/or BAKC NFT token IDs. See our Privacy Policy for more information.
I think I found a bug. What should I do?
Get a piece of paper and a cup. Trap the bug by gently closing the cup over it and carefully sliding the piece of paper underneath. Gently but firmly pick up both the piece of paper and cup like a sandwich and release the bug at the nearest exit to nature. If it’s a technical bug, please report it by reaching out to [email protected].
I know for a fact that I collected items that are not showing up for me, what can I do?
If you suspect an issue collecting your items, we encourage you to report it to our support team at [email protected].
I think I notice monkey business (cheating), what should I do?
If you suspect someone is up to something fishy, reach out to [email protected] or open a support ticket in the official BAYC discord with details.
